Greater Manchester Over 60's Walking Football League - Month 1 of 4
The Greater Manchester Over 60's Walking Football League was launched to provide regular competitive walking football for players in their 60's. The league has been developed to provide a regular opportunity for teams across Greater Manchester, Lancashire and its bordering counties to compete. The league is affiliated and sanctioned by the Lancashire FA.
The League consists of 3 divisions of 5 teams and is run in seasons, with each season consisting of 4 fixture dates. Each fixture date consists of round robin fixtures where each team will play each other once within their respective division. The duration of matches is 15 minutes.
All fixture dates will take place on the new 3G facility at Heywood Sports Village, West Starkey Street, Heywood, OL10 4TW on the first Friday of each month.
Points are totalled across each fixture date to provide a league table for each division. For each fixture, teams will gain points based on their results (3 points win, 1 point draw, 0 points loss). Teams will be allocated into divisions where promotion and relegation will be determined after each league season.
