There are some contemporary themes in it; player recruitment; Friday evening kick-off; stressing the fun and pleasure aspect of the game, all from over thirty years ago. If you played in the game feel free to comment on it, hopefully the schoolboys weren't too rough with you!
There are signs that the current situation with lack of playing members is improving: the second team are re-forming with the 2XV Captain Dan Nelson working hard to arrange some fixtures but as ever we need everyone to try and get new blood down and for current players to stick at it and encourage each other and things will improve.
Cheshire RFU are holding a series of meetings with local Clubs and are encouraging all our local clubs with some good workable ideas; we all seem to be in the same boat player-recruitment wise
There is lots to look forward to in these weeks before the season ends and beyond. This being our 90th season remember, so get involved and take part in the coming events in this special time for our Club.
