The Referee's Society have voted Phil the 'Most Annoying Player in Rugby' for the last 5 seasons.A combination of non-stop chat, a punchable face and his ginger hair encourage referees to take an instant dislike to him, often before he's said a word.
Based on these qualities, Phil was appointed 1st XV captain for the 2017-18 season.
