Well, this Sunday we welcomed Tamworth to Delves Road, and had yet another great morning of rugby. Several parents commented on how pleasant both the Tamworth players and their coaches/parents were.

As for the games, we split again with me taking one half and Mike taking the other. A roundup of the games follows -

My Team - Rhys, Chase, Jonathan, Noah and Freddie C.

Game 1 - Won 11-9.
Tries for Rhys (3), Chase (1), Jonathan (4), Noah (3).

Game 2 - Lost 11-6.
Tries for Rhys (3), Freddie (1), Jonathan (1), Chase (1)

Game 3 - Won 9-8.
Tries for Noah (2), Rhys (5), Chase (1), Jonathan (1).

All of the players did exceptionally well, Rhys scoring 11 tries, Chase showing he's going to be one of our fastest players and supporting very well and despite feeling poorly Freddie gave another strong performance. However, it was extremely close between Jonathan and Noah for my Star Of The Week as both scored some excellent tries and Noah surpassing his personal try scoring record with some great trade mark line hugging runs. Despite this though, Jonathan showed some great enthusiasm and scored 6 very good tries making him my Star Of The Week. Well done to all!!!!!!

Mikes Team - Ben W, Freddie P, Hendrik, Daniel, Jack and Maxwell.

Game 1 - Won 11-8.
Tries for Daniel (1), Hendrik (3), Ben (4), Jack (1), Freddie (2)

Game 2 - Won 10-9.
Tries for Freddie (4), Maxwell (6)

Game 3 - Won 8-7.
Tries for Freddie (3), Maxwell (2), Daniel (1), Hendrik (2).

Mike says all the players performed extremely well despite the wet and cold. Freddie scoring 9 tries in all, Ben was organising his defensive line well and all the others listening well and supporting. However, Maxwell showed yet again he has an outrageous sidestep and could likely squeeze his way through a keyhole if he wished....which helped him score 6 tries in one half! As such, Maxwell was Mikes Star Of The Week.

This weekend we are back to training (weather permitting) so I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday!
