A special visit to the Mayor's Chamber with Santa.

Thank you to our Minis and Juniors for attending the Christmas Party which allowed us to dontate money to Father Christmas, who passed the money on to the Mayor to go towards his Charity.

Liz Smith and Sara Taylor were honoured to represent the Club at the Mayor's Chamber when Santa presented the cheque for £500 to the Mayor, Marco Longhi. The money was a collection of the money from all of Santa's visits in the run up to Christmas.

The Mayor's Charity is WPH Counselling for this year. This charity offers a range of professional, free and confidential counselling. The money being raised in the Mayor's appeal is specifically being channelled to the work with the Teenage Service.

The teenage years are a time that has been described as the most confusing, challenging, frustrating and fascinating stage of human development. It can be a period where teenagers feel they are not understood and can lead to depression, anxiety, anger and loneliness.

The valuable service is provided by qualified youth counsellors and has been operating for many years, mostly funded by CCG, Children in Need and personal donations.
