Sunday 3rd March - Tamworth AWAY
Strong Tamworth test the U7s....
Walsall Under 7s had yet another tough test this morning at Tamworth RFC. As we are approaching the end of the season, we decided to mix the teams up a little this week, so rather than have 3 set teams rotating, we mixed and matched for each game. All games were extremely tough as Tamworth not only have some very quick players, they have some big ones too.....there tagging and support play was also very good, but yet again we were impressed with how Walsall U7s showed great teamwork as well as some special individual efforts.
Results for this morning are as follows -
Game 1. Lost 12-9
Team and tries = Rhys (4), Hendrik (2), James (1), Jack (1) and Chase (2)

Big Jack, Mike and I, all discussed the games and players at the end of the mornings rugby and agreed that this weeks Star Of The Week was to go to Charlie P. The first two games he played were outstanding, with not only some fancy footwork, but also some fantastic support play, popping up on peoples shoulders on many an occasion!
Congrats to this weeks high scorers (getting into double figures) -
Rhys 14, Freddie P 11, Hendrik 12, Maxwell 12 and Ben W 11, but well done to all as every single player managed to get over the try line this week!
Training next week where we will be concentrating on tagging and simple passes (no big looping over the head passes!).
Have a good week,
