New Striker On Board

Wantage Town are pleased to announce the signing of forward Adam Lovegrove from Oxford City Nomads.

Adam scored 44 goals over the last two seasons at Nomads in the Hellenic League and has also played for Abingdon Town, Kidlington and Bicester Town.

Manager Gary Ackling had this to say about the signing - "we are pleased to get Adam on board as we believe he can do a good job for us. More importantly he has shown the ambition and desire to step up to something harder which has not been evident amongst others approached to sign on this season. Adam has scored consistently in the feeder leagues over the last 5-6 seasons and fully deserves the opportunity to see if he can take that on to the next level"

Adam is seen as a good honest hardworking forward who will set up as many as he scores whilst still maintaining a good scoring record himself.
