The club will be looking to speak to candidates who share the club's passion for developing youth players, coaching and improving players of all ages and playing exciting football. As a Southern League Football Club, Wantage Town values absolutely the importance of having a strong and ambitious Reserve Team: providing a quality stepping stone and learning environment for developing young players; reflecting the First Team footballing philosophy of an exciting, attacking style of play, and hosting experienced and driven players with their sights set on success.

The key components of the role are:

- Taking on full managerial responsibility for the Reserve Team squad (including training sessions, player recruitment and all associated administrative tasks);
- Working closely with the First Team Manager over player progression, youth development and club success;
- Working closely with the club’s Youth Team management team to develop and improve young players;
- Working with the current squad, whilst introducing new talent capable of succeeding at Hellenic Div 1 (West) level and with the potential and ambition to play Southern League football.

This post would present an ideal opportunity for a management team (and players) looking for a sideward move or to stretch themselves at a higher level, with the possibility of exposure to Southern League football.
