Freds Hit by Unavailability

After a positive 3 points last week and moving 8 points clear of the relegation zone the Freds will be looking forward to the challenge of Stratford on Saturday.

The squad has been hit hard with injuries, work and unavailability with no less than 9 players missing and 3 facing fitness tests before the game.

Stratford are currently 4th in the league and will be looking to continue their fine run of form to confirm their place in the play-offs.

Squad News – The long list of players missing are Doyle (knee), Clark (ankle), Warne (moved to London for work, so has left the club), Johns (away), Jones (away) Janes (work), Carbon (away), Thorne (away), A Lovegrove (work) and Whiting, Hulbert-Thomas and I Lovegrove face fitness tests before the game.

Michael Bird will make his debut after signing from North Leigh last week.

Manager Daniel states “Last week was all about 3 points and it was excellent we managed to achieve that along with a clean sheet. With 7 games remaining it would have been nice to have a settled side but unfortunately with so many out this week others will get a chance along with a few lads from the reserves. Stratford are one of the better teams in the league and it’s important we work hard and make it difficult for them. If there’s any chance of getting something from the game, we have got to take our chances. We have got to keep fighting and picking up points in the last 7 games as the teams below us still have games in hand. It’s going to be a tense end to the season but after 3 points last week it’s in our hands.”

Squad: Tucker, Harper, Glover, Hulbert-Thomas, Cattell, Reid, Shaw, Bayliss, Barder, I Lovegrove, Whitehead, Whiting, Roberts, D Timbrell, Davies, Bird
