Here we go, looking for the chance to make it three wins on the run. Rovers however will have different ideas and not without cause. They may be fourth from bottom of the table but they’ve only lost two of their last nine games and their last home defeat was back in November.

Since then they’ve drawn at home with both Bedford and North Leigh, beaten Aylesbury 4-2 in their most recent home game and drawn 2-2 at Kings Langley last weekend. They are arguably on more of a run than our last two opponents were so a tough encounter is in prospect.

We won November’s reverse fixture 3-1 after falling behind to Lucas Kirkpatrick’s seventh minute goal. A reply six minutes later from the now departed Liam Dulson eased any worries before Ramiah Mills and Stef Georgiou completed the scoring before half time.

This will be the 41st meeting between us in both competitive and friendly fixtures of which we have won 17 to Rovers’ 18. Even so we lead on goals scored by 59 to 57.

Lastly, please note that although the Barton Rover’s address is Sharpenhoe Road, entrance to the ground is via Luton Road. If you take a close up view of the destination in the directions map linked above you will see what this means.
