First double of the season as Ware overcome a tough Cheshunt performance.

Ware got back into gear after Saturday's defeat with a win that repeated the score from their game at Theobalds Lane just after the start of the season.

After Saturday there were changes made with Prince Madu coming in at right back and Garjay Thompson making his debut at left back. The latter released Alaa Oujdi for a more attacking role on the left and this paid off after 15 minutes when his cross into the Cheshunt area was finally knocked home by Elliott Charles.

The assistant referee had flagged for handball in the build up but was overruled by the referee leaving Cheshunt to feel as Ware had about some of the decisions in the defeat to Hertford. Swings and roundabouts come to mind. Suggestions that it might have been an own goal were ruled out on photographic evidence.

Oujdi was at it again ten minutes later with another cross that this time found the head of Yannick Kamanan who steered it into the corner of the Cheshunt goal.

It all looked good for Ware at this stage but as the half entered its final minutes Cheshunt started to mount pressure with Joe Clemo bringing a diving save out of Tom Coulton. However Ware's hopes of keeping a clean sheet for the first time this season were dashed right on half time when Manny Osei went through on his own to reduce the arrears with a well taken goal.

The second half was a cagey and nervous affair as the visitors searched for an equaliser and in the charged atmosphere both sides ended with four yellow cards.

Osei continued to look dangerous for Cheshunt who certainly had their moments but poor finishing let them down not to mention one excellent headed clearance by Madu.

In the end a goal in added time from Kamanan when he picked up on a loose ball in the Cheshunt area soothed the nerves of home supporters and moved him on to eleven goals in competitive matches this season. Meanwhile the victory lifted Ware to eighth in the table.

Dean Mason, who played 18 games for Ware last season scoring three goals, came on in the second half as Kem continues to strengthen his side.

Ware: Tom Coulton, Prince Madu, Garjay Thompson, Murat Karagul, Gareth Madden, Lee White, Marcus Milner (Finbarr Robins 83mins), Alaa Oujdi, Elliott Charles (Dean Mason 74mins), Yannick Kamanan, Rheo Josephs. Unused subs: Daniel Emovon, Junior Appiah, Warren Kayembe.
