So the Plate Final was the perfect opportunity for Wars to gain revenge all be it against a full time academy team who as well as having won the league had also won the Sussex Under 18 Cup.

A perfectly executed game plan saw Wars quickly out of the blocks and within 25 minutes had raced into a 3-0 lead. Despite plenty of procession Loxwood were unable to find a way through a well organised defence. The second half saw a similar pattern of play with Loxwood pressing and were eventually reward with a goal with 15 minutes left. But all this did was to spur Wars on who quickly responded with a deserved fourth goal from the penalty spot. Despite a late second from Loxwood, Wars ran our deserved winners.
