With a grant from the FA and a great deal of work by Paul Antino we are now the proud owners of a new Vertiquake or Earthquake machine. The machine is designed to break up the sub strata and improve drainage and was recommended by the Institute of Groundsman to improve our drainage over a period of time.

This is just part of our plan to improve the drainage and save as many matches as possible from postponement because of waterlogging. This was the subject of an earlier article
