Round Up From Tuesday 22nd March 2011

7 games took place in the Evo-Stik First Division North this evening as the season enters it's closing stages.

AFC Fylde continued their good run of form with a 4-1 win at home to Lancaster City. Tom Cahill grabbed a hat-trick of goals for the Fylde dispite falling behind to a second minute Bill McKenna goal. Matt Walwyn rounded off the night with a goal in the 90th minute to consolidate the club's play off position.

Chorley were beaten at Victory Park by Trafford. A 66th minute strike from Joe Shaw was enough for the Manchester based visitors to take the points from the promotion chasers.

Durham City and Curzon Ashton shared the points in a 1-1 draw. Joe Evans gave Curzon 33rd minute lead before Durham's David Dowson hit the equilizer just beforer the hour mark.

Garforth Town were beaten at home by lowly Cammell Laird. A single Aaron Brown goal after 20 minutes gave Liard's the 3 points they needed to pull away from the relegation spots.

Bottom club Leigh Genesis gave high flying Skelmersdale United an early scare, as Stuart Rudd put them ahead on 23 minutes. Rudd then put the ball into his own net on 40 minutes before Shaun Tuck gave Skem a 2-1 half time lead. Ryan Wade looked to have sealed a 3-1 win for Tommy Lawson's team but Marvin McDonlad had the last say as the game finished 3-2 to the play off chasers.

Prescot Cables lost out to Harrogate Railway Athletic at Valarie Park. Liam Gray scored with less than a minute on the clock, for the visitors before Luke Durham wrapped the game up with 16 minutes remaining. Jason Massie scored in the last minute to give the home side a consolation goal.

Finally in the league, Radcliffe Borough drew a blank with Wakefield.

Chester remain top on 76 points having played 33 games.Skelemerdale are second with 72 points having also played 33 fixtures so far. Garry Flitcroft's Chorley are third with 70 points from 34 games and AFC Fylde are now forth, with 68 points from 35 games. Gary Lowe's Curzon are fifth with 66 points from 33 games.
