Looking Ahead To Saturday's FA Trophy Tie At The Abacus Solicitors Community Stadium

Warrington Town start their FA Trophy trail on Saturday as they welcome Evo-Stik NPL First Divsion South side Leek Town to the Abacus Solicitors Community Stadium in a 3:00pm kick-off.

Leek are currently 13th in the Southern section of the Evo-Stik NPL having gained 6 points from 5 games so far. An opening day draw with Romulus was followed up with a 2-1 win over Kidsgrove. Further points were picked up in draws with Newcastle Town and Belper Town respectively.

Warrington are unbeaten so far in all competitions having had a great start to the season under manager Shaun Reid. Two FA Cup wins against Atherton LR (3-0) and Maine Road (1-0) have been backed up with league wins against New Mills (6-1) and Curzon Ashton (3-2) along with draws against Trafford (1-1), Ossett Town (0-0) and Bamber Bridge (0-0).

Saturday's visitors made it to the FA Trophy final in 1990 at Wembley Stadium where 19,000 people saw them crash to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Barrow. Warrington Town club secretary Chris Henshall was a linesman in that fixture and will be telling his tale in the matchday programme.

With this game being a cup tie, season tickets, league passes and student cards are not valid for Saturday's fixture.

Admission prices are set at £8 for adults, concessions will be charged £5, under 16's are admitted for just £2, for under 12’s its free.

Turnstiles open at 1:45pm and the club's matchday programme "The Wire" will be on sale priced at £2. The Crazy Hog Snack Bar will be open through out the fixture serving hot and cold food and drinks.

If you cannot make the game, tune into Radio Warrington from 2:00pm who will have all the matchday build up along with team news and interviews live from the Abacus Solicitors Community Stadium. Updates on the club's official twitter account @theyellows will also be provided.

Should the game end in a draw, a replay will take place at Leek's Harrison Park ground on Tuesday 17th September with a 7:45pm kick off.
