Joey Dunn takes his Warrington Town side to Mossley on Tuesday evening in search of another three vital league points on the back of Saturday’s 1-0 win at Radcliffe Borough.
The game was won early on after Chris Thompson struck after just 7 minutes, in a game which the wire created a number of good chances to win by a bigger margin.
Mossley had a thrilling encounter with Durham City at home on Saturday and went into a 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Harry Noon, Joe Heap and Steve Halford. The fightback from Durham began on 55 minutes when Purewal made it 3-2 with a brace inside 5 minutes. Billy Greulich-Smith drew the sides level before Gary Brown secured a 4-3 win for the visitors with 10 minutes left.
Manager Gareth McClelland has a strong side this season with former football league striker David McNiven and experienced centre back Peter Band in his side. They are currently one place below Warrington in 14th position and a point behind so it is all to play for in Tuesday’s fixture.
