Dunn Shuffles His Pack

Warrington Town manager Joey Dunn has shuffled around his players a little bit in the past week after brining in defender Matt Cross.

Cross joined Warrington from Salford City last week and is the latest addition to strengthening the backline which has conceded 24 league goals this season so far.

Three players have since left Cantilever Park.

Experienced defender Matt Doughty has retired from football after playing for just over a month, for his hometown club. In his career he represented Chester City, Altrincham, Rochdale, Accrington Stanley and Halifax. He recently played for Hyde United and Witton Albion before joining Warrington in August.

Michael Jukes has signed forms for Prescot Cables, although with the Merseyside club having recently gone to amateur status, it is unsure weather he will play for the club. Jukes played just 1 game for Warrington this season, starting the Doodsons Sport Cup game against Cammell Laird at Cantilever Park.

Finally Jack McGowan has joined a club more closer to home, has he signed for Cammell Laird earlier this week. The striker did well in pre-season but has not managed to secure a regular starting place ahead of Jamie Henders, Anthony Hickey and Chris Thompson.

The football club wish Michael and Jack the very best of luck in their future careers and want to thank Matt for his services to the club.
