Warrington Town have signed experienced midfielder Andy Heald from fellow Evo-Stik First Division North side Leigh Genesis.
Heald has played in the Conference National and Conference North for Leigh RMI, also representing Stalybridge Celtic and Radcliffe BOrough in the Northern Premier League. He was assistant coach at Leigh Genesis this season but has joined Warrington in a playing capacity only.
The signing comes just a week before the deadline day for Evo-Stik League clubs and he is the latest to boost Joey Dunn's squad.
He will be no stranger to some people at Cantilever Park, having played with Gavin Salmon at Leigh RMI and, with Chris Thompson 2 years ago at Leigh Genesis. He has known Town's first team coach James Standing, for a number of years, and is set to be in the squad for Thursday's trip to Harrogate Railway Athletic.
Welcome to Cantilever Park Andy.
