FA Cup, FA Trophy & FA Youth Cup Draws Are Made

Warrington Town now know their fate in this season’s upcoming FA competitions, after the draws for the early rounds of the FA Cup, FA Trophy and FA Youth Cup took place on Friday morning at FA headquarters.

The FA Cup

Town travel to league rivals side Prescot Cables in the preliminary round. The game will take place on Saturday 3rd September 2011 with a 3:00pm kick off. Should Warrington progress into the first qualifying round, they face a trip to either Curzon Ashton or Bamber Bridge. A date of September 17th, has been set.

FA Trophy

The FA Trophy trail starts for Joey Dunn’s men in the preliminary round this season. They will travel to Sheffield FC from the Evo-Stik First Division South, which will be played on Saturday 8th October 2011, with a 3:00pm kick off. The victors will host either Cammell Laird or Bamber Bridge (again) on Saturday 22nd October for the first qualifying round.

FA Youth Cup

The Warrington Town under 18’s team face Ashton Athletic or Ashton Town away in the first qualifying round of this season’s FA Youth Cup. The tie is to be played the week commencing 19th September 2011. If they progress into the second qualifying round they face either AFC Fylde or Fleetwood Town away, week commencing 3rd October.
