KENILWORTH BOW OUT OF NATIONAL PLATE
Just losing to newcomers Wellesbourne. Final score: Wellesbourne 20pts - Kenilworth 17pts.
In a tremendously exciting match Kenilworth went ahead and were 12pts up early in the game. Wellesbourne struck back with two converted tries to go ahead. A penalty for Wellesbourne put them further ahead. Kenilworth scored an unconverted try but with the score tying 17pts a piece Wellesbourne converted the deciding penalty. In the last five minutes Kenilworth put on the pressure and despite Wellesbourne giving away four penalties Kenilworth were unable to capitalise.
