6 Wasps Selected for 2012 RBS 6 Nations Women's Championship!
England’s women’s team are about to begin the defence of their Six Nations title.
Last season's Six Nations Grand Slam winners were recent conquerors of world champions New Zealand.
Coach Gary Street has included no fewer than six Wasps players in his Elite squad: Claire Purdy, Michaela Staniford, Jo McGilchrist, Jane Leonard, Hannah Field and Geraldine Thomas.
Two of their games will be played in the London area. They face Wales at Twickenham, on February the 25th. The game kicks off at 6.15 pm, after their male counterparts have faced up in the RBS Six Nations.
On March the 17th, Ireland are the opponents, at Esher RFC. Kickoff at 2pm.
England’s Six Nations Fixtures are as follows:
· February 5th 2012, Scotland v England, Lasswade, Edinburgh, KO 5pm
· February 12th 2012, Italy v England, Parabiago, Nr Milan, KO 3pm
· February 25th, 2012, England v Wales, Twickenham Stadium, KO 6.15pm
