If you passed by Twyford on Saturday you'd have caught myriad of international colours buzzing around the pitches, as Try Tag hosted their International Cup. Thirty two teams were involved, with squads from the Phillipines, Greece, and the home nations!
In the mixed performance group, the final was clinched by New Zealand in a classic battle of the hemispheres over England. In the Men’s competition Wales edged out England, and in the Mixed social sides an all Ireland final was won by the Irish Wolfhounds.
Speaking about the Wasps Club, Try Tag said:
"Wasps Football Club is one of our premier venues and is used regularly during the week for our weeknight leagues. The pitches are kept to a really high standard and the facilities are excellent. It's one of our go-to venues for our large team tournaments featuring 60 plus teams and over 700 people including our annual Wasps Tag Rugby Festival and The London Tag Rugby Championships."
It’s great to see Twyford helping people engage with rugby in all it’s codes, and overall another successful day for Wasps FC. If you would like to give tag rugby a try, contact 020 3137 2722.
