Wasps four aiming for Women's Rugby World Cup sucess

Claire Purdy, Jo McGilchrist, Marlie Packer and LaToya Mason selected in England squad for Women's Rugby World Cup.

Gary Street named his squad of 26 players today for the WRWC which takes place in France on Aug 1-17th.

The four Wasps players will be part of a squad aiming to go one better that 2006 and 2010 where they finished runners-up to New Zealand.

For Purdy, McGilchrist and Mason this is their second world cup having competed in home soil in 2010, whilst Packer will be raring to get out there for her first Rugby World Cup experience.

Also heading to the WRWC is former Wasps player Steph Te Ohaere-Fox who will be going for a second Rugby World Cup win with New Zealand.
