Wasps Ladies take on local rivals Richmond RFC this Saturday in the Women's RFU Senior Cup Final.

The London teams will face each other for the fourth time this season at Lichfield RFC, the action kicking off at 3.30pm.

Wasps Ladies have hit form in the newly formed cup competition winning all 4 round games, including a last gasp win through a try by Gemma Rowland against Saturday's opponents Richmond to win 12-10, and a convincing 44-7 victory over Saracens. The Semi-final was a tough match against a strong Darlington Mowden Sharks opposition. Wasps Ladies came through to win 36-5, including a hat-trick from flanker Jane Leonard, to make the cup final.

Looking ahead to Saturdays match, Wasps Ladies captain Tina Lee said, "Everyone is immensely proud to get into the final and to show what hard work we have put in throughout the season, in the final on Saturday. To win would be the icing on the cake from a really good second half of the season."

Head coach Gareth Hatherly-Hurford praised the squad's attitude throughout the season, "There's been a huge improvement from all players and that's been based on things that have happened both at training and off the pitch. The camaraderie of these girls is amazing, and what it means to them be a Wasps player has created an atmosphere of progression, and as a result we're into the final."
