Wasps Ladies Bolster Coaching Team ahead of 30th Season

Ahead of the 2014-15 season, Wasps Ladies have announced an exciting new coaching line-up.

With Gareth Hatherley-Hurford continuing as head coach he is joined by Craig Foster, Stuart Willis and Oliver Bishop, all of whom bring a wealth of rugby experience to the club.

As well as various coaching positions Stuart Willis is a PE teacher and is working towards a Masters at St Mary's University. Oliver Bishop has experience in coaching university, community and club teams including spending time learning from the best in New Zealand. Whilst Craig will be familiar with Twyford Avenue as a former Wasps Academy player and has played GB student Rugby League. As well as playing at a high level Craig has built up coaching experience at UWIC and with Premiership Rugby club's community programmes. Stuart, Oli and Craig join Gareth who is taking on the Ladies Section for a second season. The young and enthusiastic coaching team are excited to be involved with the club and are sure to progress all players and both squads this season.

Completing the Wasps Ladies line up are Strength and Conditioning Coach and Physio Martina Ashton and Physio Emma Dorban-Hall. Martina has been regularly gracing the podium of Cross Fit competitions over the summer so will be putting their players through their paces over pre-season and beyond!

Wasps Ladies play Bristol in a pre-season friendly on Sunday 31st August before the Women's Premiership and Championship South West 2 kick off on the weekend of 13th/14th September (fixtures tbc).

This season is a special one for Wasps Ladies who celebrate 30 years since they were formed in 1984. Various events will are planned throughout the season to celebrate the Ladies section's milestone and to bring together current and former Wasps players as well as supporters of the club.
