Premier 15s Movers

To conclude a week of big name announcements we have four players joining us from other Tyrrells Premier 15s clubs. Garnet Mackinder from Saracens, Lucy Nye and Flo Williams from Loughborough and Claudia MacDonald from DMP Sharks.

All drawn by the culture, talent displayed last season and performance staff on offer, for these players it was a no brainer. Looking to learn and reach her full potential Mackinder believes that Wasps Ladies coaching team is the one to make it happen. Having joined us for the 7s season helping the team to reach the National final, Mackinder says "The work ethic and team mentality at Wasps is amazing and I already feel a part of it and can’t wait to get playing 15s alongside these girls!"

Nye, who will be joining the RAF this year believes that this squad are the ones to reach the final this year, "The players here at Wasps are hands down the most hard working team I’ve been in. They have a great work ethic on the pitch and banter off the pitch which is what rugby’s all about!"

Williams admires the growth of the side down to the work of our legends, "The heart of all they do has grown from a long legacy of dedicated players who have built the club into what it is today. This 'whole club' atmosphere alongside their fantastic depth and quality drew me to Wasps." she also hopes that "with increased awareness of the new league, matches can draw bigger crowds and media interest"

Having just finished university up north, for MacDonald it was a natural progression to move back down to London. Having played against Wasps last season "there seemed a genuine family feeling amongst all the players, and a real kindness and respect for the opposition, which it turns out rang true."

When asked on her thoughts for the season ahead, Mather said "As preseason has progressed the potential of this dynamic group of players both new and existing has become obvious and is hugely exciting for all of the performance staff to work with. We are extremely privileged to give this squad the opportunity to express themselves, in an exciting expansive and entertaining style of rugby. We are really looking forward to our first game against Bristol Bears but the underlying anticipation is for what this team is capable of as the TP15s season unfolds, as we grow and consolidate our learning, familiarity with our way to play and enhancing the playing combinations in the team."

There you have it, your new signings for Wasps FC Ladies. You can watch them play tomorrow from 2:30 pm V Bristol Bears at Shaftesbury Park, Bristol, next Saturday LIVE on Sky Sports V Loughborough Lightning at 1:35pm or throughout the season home and away.
