In the final fixture of 2017, Wasps FC Ladies will take on Gloucester Hartpury on home ground this Saturday. The two teams came head to head for the first time in September - a close game ending in a victory to Gloucester Hartpury.

Last week saw Wasps FC Ladies take on Harlequins Ladies in the first of the second rotations. The game was slow to start, with Wasps’ defence holding back Harlequins for 36 minutes before Leanne Riley found a hole to secure the first try. Tina Lee was not slow to follow suit and bring Wasps back into the game. However, the game ended in a 27-8 victory to Harlequins who remain above Wasps in the table.

Wasps FC Ladies keep a similar line up to that of last week as they take on Gloucester Hartpury. A small change in the pack with the return of Nora Baltruweit back in the row and Elizabeth Crake back on the flank. Wasp’s backs line keeps the same structure with Tina Veale starting at 9 and Hannah Edwards in at 10. Once again a threatening bench with the likes of Gemma Rowland, Sammy Wong, and captain Kate Alder ready to inject power into the game.

Nine fixtures down the line and Wasps currently sit above Gloucester Hartpury in the tables. They will most definitely be looking to secure a victory over this weekend’s opponents to secure their place going into the new year. A very important game ahead.
