After a 2 game winning streak the under 7's took on Latchford, who by all accounts have been running riot in the league, unbeaten in the last 4 games, so the lads had their work cut out!

Straight from the off Latchford looked dangerous, they are a very big and fast side, they scored in the opening 5 minutes of the game. True to form though our boys are a tackling machine and once they realised that the saying "The bigger they are, the harder they fall" is actually true, they got stuck in and closed down Latchford at every opportunity.

It was a very close game, set after set played until Jake made a break from our own try line to score a fantastic full length try!

The second half saw much of the same, Latchford looking good with lots of powerful breaks, only to be taken down, time after time our lads gritted their teeth and showed they have a tough defense. Latchford eventually made headway and scored again. Shortly after their try Niall took the ball in and powered over the line, to even the score two a piece.

Time was nearly up when their first try scorer who was easily the biggest player on the field made a break again and was looking certain to score until Jimbob put his body on the line and made a crunching tackle, but there was no stopping him from getting over the try line. Even if we did think the refs decision was dubious! [Sorry Kev]

Regardless of the final score, our boys showed us again how much they have come on from the beginning of the season and that they are surely going to be a force to be reckoned with as the season progresses!
