At this time of year, the eyes of the golfing world turn their attention to The Masters The Specimen Cup - the real first major of the year.
Turning out for this year's golfing spectacular were Doogs, KV, Beanie, Foxy, The Mincer, Mog and Jim Jam. With reigning back to back champion Troy unavailable to defend his title, a new name would be etched on the Specimen Cup for the first time in a couple of seasons and the excitement in the air from the crowd was palpable.
With the first hole also serving as the location for the 'closest to the pin' challenge, the players were looking to get off to a good start and land their first shot close to the hole. Doogs and Beanie set the tone well, the former of the two picking up the prize for the closest to the pin for his effort.
With plenty of good, bad and ugly shots on display throughout it was obvious that the scoring would be close at the end of the round. However it was the Mincer, looking resplendent in his pink trousers, who charged past the chasing pack and picked up the victory, romping home with a 2 shot lead over his nearest challenger.
