Club Info

Waysiders Drumpellier Rugby Football Club was formed in 1993 with an amalgamation of the Waysiders and Drumpellier clubs. The Airdrie based Waysiders and Coatbridge based Drumpellier came together to form the new club playing out of Langloan in Coatbridge.
Our ambitious club has set its goals very high over the coming seasons based on a solid and highly successful youth structure. The club can now boast that it is able to field mini teams from P1 to P7 and Midi teams from S1 to S6, all playing on a Sunday. Over the summer
months we want to start a rugby academy to target elite young players with specialist coaching to fast track their future with the senior first fifteen.
Our catchment area for schools is the largest in Scotland with 7 secondary schools and 52 primary schools. We already have a strong relationship with North Lanarkshire Leisure through their rugby development program and we see the benefits of this coaching in the
schools coming through to the club.
