The Tigers look to cause an upset as they travel to Oban this weekend.

There was a real buzz and sense of belief at Langloan last night as The Tigers took to the training field in preparation for their upcoming West Regional league 2 fixture against Oban. The match is an important one to both teams as Oban are pushing for promotion and WD are fighting for survival in the league.
WD are certainly the underdogs, as Oban handed us one of the biggest defeats of the season when we played them first time round, but we are as ready as ever for the challenge in front of us. We are going up with full intentions of causing an upset and taking everything we can from the game, at this point of the season, in the position we are in, we have no other choice.
Coach, Craig Collins, was pleased with the turn-out, and mind set of the boys. He said: “Oban are a big, physical team who play a very similar style of rugby to ourselves. Our defence will need to be spot on for the entire 80 mins. We have been practicing varying our attack and are looking to put in a shift. Every single point matters so make no mistake, we are going up here with the right intent. We had two players sin-binned against them at the start of the season, the floodgates opened and there was no way back for us, discipline will be key for us”
The Tigers are no strangers to being in physical games, and are relishing the challenge .
Game kicks of 3pm at Oban Lorne RFC. Bus Leaves WDRFC 9.30am.
COME ON THE TIGERS!!!
