WD travel to Clydebank, and are looking to start their 2014/15 league campaign off with a win.

Our boys travel to Clydebank for the beginning of their 2014/15 League campaign. The two sides have been closely matched over the past two seasons, both results wise and league position wise, so the team knows how important a win it could be.
We have had another tough week at training, Fitness Coach & Therapist Tony Daffurn has stepped up the fitness session, and on Wednesday Craig coached a tough contact session, finishing on team runs. During the team runs you could see things that we have been working on coming to fruition, more players are wanting to carry the ball and we are becoming increasingly confident in the way we are trying to play.
Head Coach Craig Collins will be absent from the sidelines this weekend as he Jets off on a two week holiday but told the boys “We had a tough game last week, but this will be a different kind of game, Clydebank are hard, physical opponents and we need to be ready for the fight they put up. Last we saw two players yellow carded off, that cannot happen this week, our discipline will be tested in the game. Clydebank is a hostile environment to play in, but we need to be the bigger team, rise above this and dictate the game.”
Craig has asked his Brother and Head Coach from last year Neil to take over for the next two weeks in his absence, Neil who could not commit another year to coaching due to family commitments, has stayed involved and took on more of a Team Manager role so far this season. The players respond well to Neil who is not short of passion on the sidelines and so he was the obvious person to step up.
Kick off is 3pm at Clydbank Rugby Club Postcode: G81 1RL
Any Traveling support would be greatly appreciated by the boys.
