We have some thankyou's to make after a night that won't be forgotten.

It was an emotional, fun and uplifting evening that brought not just the Wednesfield family together, but the Wolves one too.

Wednesday evening was a night that had only been planned a couple of weeks ago, but the work that went on since then and on the occasion made the night what it was.

Firstly we want to thank Wolverhampton Wanderers for their superb coverage of the event, it's reached out to so many more people than we expected. Along with this, special guests Harry Burgoyne and Phil Parkes were both phenomenal and really made the night a special one.

Also, we'd like to thank Signal 107 for hosting the event at such short notice. Scottie and his mic & music was brilliant from start to finish.

The various volunteers at Wednesfield deserve thanking too. They went the extra mile to make sure the ground looked ship shape & on the night were fantastic. It really couldn't have happened without you.

Our opponents on the night were professional, competitive and a good test for the lads. So, thanks to Wolverhampton United for taking part in the 2nd Ron Brown Memorial Cup match. We look forward to next year's already.

The final score on the night was Wednesfield 7-1 Wolverhampton United. But Wednesday evening wasn't about the result, it was about getting behind Carl, raising money for charity, and remembering the late Ron Brown.

Thankyou.
