Weirs went down to another defeat in the Western Union First Division at Kilmarnock on Saturday but the 2nd XI recorded a good win.

Weirs' weak batting lineup was exposed yet again at Kilmarnock as they were rolled out for just 114. Kilmarnock easily reached the victory target of 115 for the loss of just 2 wickets. With just one week of the season left Weirs are second bottom in the league but St Michaels' struggles will mean that Weirs will retain their place in the WDCU first division.

The 2nd XI fared much better in the fixture at Albert Park. Alistair Gibson hit 41 and Pratul Choudhury 46 as the Weirs 2nd string reached a very respectable 208 for 6 off their 50 overs. Kilmarnock were bowled out for 152 in response to hand Albert Park a 56 run victory.

The Sunday League game against Ayr was conceded by Ayr who couldn't raise a team.
