Clydesdale batted first on a damp pitch. Some indifferent bowling, coupled with dropped catches and sloppy fielding allowed Clyesdale to reach a total of 113 for 6 in 20 overs. Only Ibrar Akram with 3 for 16 in 5 overs really stood out in the Weirs team.
When Weirs replied wickets started to fall steadily. Weirs eventually managed to bat out the overs but the victory target of 114 was out of sight well before the end. Weirs eventually closed on 83 for 8.
