For the second time in three weeks the second team conceded a horrible amount of extras in defeat.

The 1st XI game against Irvine was rained off on Saturday which left Sunday's rearranged clash at Albert Park between Weirs 2nd XI and Galloway as the only cricket of the weekend.

Galloway batted first and their batsmen made patient progress. But throughout the innings they were helped along by some very wayward Weirs bowlers who totaled 52 wides. This was the second time in 3 weeks that wides had brought up a half century for Weirs 2nd team. Galloway eventually battled their way to 204 for 8 off 50 overs, Bradley top scoring with 43. Sheroz Akram, Abbas Arfeen and Mohammed Usman all took two wickets.

When Weirs started batting, the Galloway bowlers showed them how they should of bowled. Galloway bowled with accuracy and a bit of pace too and soon had wickets falling regularly. Only Inderbir Mahal with 20 could make it to double figures as Weirs were bundled out for 63 and a defeat by 141 runs.
