It has now been confirmed that Wellington will be competing in Western Counties North next season. This is due to Cullompton and St Austell being relegated from the league above, and only Teignmouth getting promoted. This means there are too many teams in Western Counties West and not enough in Western Counties North. As Wellington is geographically the most Northerly club in WCW we will now be moved sideways to the Northern League. This will bring exciting new challenges against many Bristol based sides, but it will mean the loss of fixtures against sides Wellington have forged friendships with over many decades which is be a shame.
