Wellington Amateurs Football Club

Hello and welcome to Wellington Amateurs Under 10's.

I am Mark Reilly and I am the Manager/Coach of an enthusiastic team who is striving to increase their football development and fitness. I am a qualified FA Football Coach and have a current CRB.

This new 2011/12 football season will be an exciting one as we are going into our second season as a team. We have also started a new team this year to join the Telford Junior Football League. The Manager/Coach of which will be Mark Conway who is also an experienced qualified FA Football Coach. They will be named "Wellington Amateurs Harriers".

Together our aim and objective is to develop grassroots football in giving young players an opportunity to learn and develop in Football and to make this experience as fun as we can. We have huge plans this season with our NEW Coaching programme which will involve football skills, learning and development, including fitness, balance and co-ordination. We want to put fun back into football and our Football sessions will involve the young players making their own decisions and assist in Coaching the sessions themselves. This will increase their understanding of football and bring out their potential for being coaches.

As the pre-season preparations are under way, I have found there has been a huge interest in young players wishing to join our squad. This is both rewarding and exciting for Mark Conway and I. Unfortunately, due to this mass intake of young players, we are unable to sign any other players this season. However, all is not lost.
