Club Membership

We would like to take a minute of your time to explain what you get for your annual membership fees:

Dependant on the type of membership, annual subscriptions fully fund the provision of the provide the following facilities for the benefit of all paid up members.

Playing Member
Pitches at the club, at Haybridge and Coxley:
Seeded, fertilised and managed to improve drainage in the closed season;
Mown and maintained throughout the year, including painting and maintenance of goalposts and their replacement, as required Line marking;
Posts and flags;
Post protectors;
Spectator barriers.

Training facilities (as appropriate):
Seeded, fertilised and managed to improve drainage in the closed season;
Mown and maintained throughout the year, including painting and maintenance of goalposts and their replacement, as required Line marking;
Mown and maintained throughout the year including maintenance of fixtures;
Lighting supply and maintenance;
Line marking.

Changing facilities:
Changing rooms for players, referees and coaches;
Showers;
Cleaning and security;
Building and heating equipment maintained throughout the year.


Club house:

Social facilities for players, spectators and match officials;
Catering facilities and refreshments;
Building and fittings maintained throughout the year.

Coaching:
Qualified coaches;
Wells RFC pays for coaches to attend appropriate courses;
All volunteers;
CRB checks;
First aid training;
Child protection awareness.

Fixtures:
Preparation and publishing of annual fixture lists;
Periodic verification of fixtures;
RFU guidelines for all age groups;
Festival and Cup Entry Fees where appropriate.

Kit:
Balls;
First aid;
Tackle shields;
Tackle bags;
Cones;
Bibs;
Match shirts (seniors only);
Organising the laundering of shirts (seniors only).


Food:
After match players’ meals.

Registration:
Registration of players to RFU guidelines;
Recording players details including medical conditions.

Administration:
Deciding matters of policy;
Setting standards;
Managing finance;
Setting subscription levels;
Overseeing trips and tours;
Managing CRB and child protection issues;
Discipline;
Travel;
Annual presentation ceremony;
Social events;
Fund raising;
Managing and maintaining the club website;
Organising match day travel;
RFU insurances (minimal).

Club Physio:

Services of the fully qualified club Physiotherapist.

Playing Adult Member:
All of the above plus;
Match fees;
As a full member of the Club the right to attend and vote at AGM's and EGM's and consequently a say in the running of the club ;
Tickets for International games.

Draw Member over 18:
As a full member of the Club the right to attend and vote at AGM's and EGM's and consequently a say in the running of the club ;
Tickets for International games

Social Member:
Use of club facilities;
Visiting sports teams are deemed to be social members for the duration of their visit.
