Rhos pushed themselves to the top of Division 3 North with a strong performance against a young Welshpool side, who were not able to match the physicality of the much more experienced home side.
With the wind at their backs, Rhos were quick to open the scoring, and starved Welshpool of possession throughout the first half, and found themselves leading 44-0 at the interval.
However, fears of a rout were not realised, as Welshpool managed to claw their way into the match in the second half, though they only managed a solitary Andrew Thomas try for their efforts, whilst Rhos scored a further three tries to give them a deserved victory, and the chance to sit atop the Division 3 North table.
