Welsh Wanderers men finished off the Bristol and West Water Polo league Division one in 1st place.
We played 14 won 12 drew 2 and lost 0 giving us 26 pts. We scored 232 goals conceded 110 with a GD of 122.
Top scorer was Dan with 58, Joe with 39 and Matthew on 25.
Major King was Dan with 16 closely followed by Lloyd on 14 and Dan Jones on 10 respectively.
The most impressive stat was that we did not lose a game. There are some tough teams in this league and it goes to show how committed the whole team has been this season even on a cold night in darkest Exeter. The other stand out figure was that we conceded 50 goals less than our closest rivals Bristol. This shows how well everyone played but the stand out names were Tim, Jack and Lloyd who were immense through some tricky games.
Stand out games were the away win at Cheltenham when we did not concede a goal in the last 2 quarters. The deciding game against Bristol was a belter andgave us the title going right to the last seconds of the game.
Stand out player for the season was Dan and stand out goal was Dan’s reverse from the half way line against Cheltenham.

Next season promises much of the same standard and commitment. The one area of improvement would probably be the number of Majors we have chalked up but that is another story.
