Wanderers 98s continued their good run of form with a good team performance against a Newton Abbott side with some good players. No-one was sure which team would turn up.
The first Quarter saw some good defending from the away side as we hit the woodwork a few times but managed good individual goals from Pittick(2)and Parry to end the period at 3-2.
The next Quarter was more domination from Wanderers with goals from Pittick , Griffiths(C) ,Bainbridge and Parry.There were some fine saves from goal stopper extraordinaire Jones.Score-7-4
The Third Quarter was controlled by Wanderers again with a superb hat-trick from Pittick some good defending and all round good team work from;Griffiths(M),Connor(L)Griffiths(T)complimented by a couple of nice goals from Connor(R),Bainbridge(2) and Parry.Score 15-7
The last quarter gave us a bit of breathing room. Team rotation was quick and often.Goals from; Pearn, Hamer, Bainbridge(2)and Parry sealed another good win.Jones got majored out.
This was a good display of Polo and proof that it is team game.Everyone helped each other out in defence and attack. We are improving very quickly with a lot of Depth in our Squad.
Special mention :Owen who is not a natural keeper but played a blinder!Lloyd who did not stop swimming all afternoon(and morning).
Goal of the day was the 1-2 combo between James and Jack in the 3rd quarter,sweet.
Next up is an away trip to Bristol Central on Sunday August 31st at 11am.
