Summer Bar-B-Que - date TBC ( to fit in the with the busy schedule around late August) last year was a great success at Porthkerry Park, Barry, and this will be the venue again this year.

2. Current membership
Currently 31 full members all on standing order, one new player to register.
There are players who are playing for more than one club registered with us, although RM commented that is less than has been over the last two years. Ie they are able to play with us in the B&W and BWPL competitions.
3. WASA membership
Ceri has started taking this years membership fees, this needs to be completed by the end of March, noted 9 done to date.
4. Club Financial position
Kate issued the balance statement for the end of the financial year, however noted there were a number of transactions which would impact on this. The position at the time of the meeting recorded a balance of £2618 of income over expenditure, this will be taken up in respect of an agreement reached with CIP regarding historical fee billing shortfall.
Kate also noted that (also included) is the £1500 grant we have been awarded for coaching development, and we need to demonstrate expenditure of this over the year or would have to re-pay. RM to provide copies of invoices for the recent development trip to Egar to substantiate.
5. Fees
The monthly fees has increased for the first time in 5 years to £18.50/month, an e-mail to this effect had been circulated to all members last month. To date only one standing order has been updated, (please would everyone do this to save chasing!)

6. Coaches report
Currently numbers of coaches are fine in relation to the sessions we are running. There are however no potential coaches coming through at the moment. RM queried/commented on the future direction of the club, which on the basis of the discussion held would require considerably more pool time than currently available. JG noted that some of the other clubs concentrate specifically on player development , with the assistance on both National and GB forums also aiding this. Agreed that needed to be discussed more fully on a separate occasion, to be arranged.

Discussion were held about the potential of increasing water time making pool bookings for over a year in advance if any space becomes available.

8. Bristol and West league
Last season, the 1997 team finished 2nd in the league, a very creditable runner up to a very good Exeter side. This shows how well the club has progressed in the last few years with our highest league finish to date.

9. Welsh League
RM noted that the 1996 matches have been completed. Results not available at the time of meeting
The 1998’s and 2000 fixture still to be finalised for this season.
10. Tournaments
There is no date confirmed et for this year’s tournament in Manchester.
Proposal made for WWWPC to host our own tournament 6th 7th September, (subject to pool availability)
