The next game in the 99’s BWWPL was against our arch enemies Cwm Draig.
Our last encounter with fellow Welshmen saw a very close battle to the very end.
This time we were back to full strength with the top scorer from last year Joe Delph back from injury.
1st Quarter
A slow start from both sides kept things close so goals were scarce. Tight defending hampered our attack. Goals from Delph,Chamberlain, and Griffiths(M) gave us an early lead.3-2
2nd Quarter
Now we could pull away a bit and rotate the team.Delph (2) Camberlain (2) and Bainbridge pushed us ahead.Good defending from Pittick as usual was complimented from fine work from Sanders (N) and Cox. 8-3
3rd Quarter
More goals from Delph (3) Chamberlain(2) and good support from Pearce and Griffiths (C) gave us a commanding lead. 13-7
4th Quarter
All credit must be given to a very strong Cwm Draig side who did not sit back but carried on attacking. More goals from Delph (2) Jones Waite (2)and Bainbridge finished off a good display by a young side who are improving as a team every time they play.Final score 19-10
