The Third game in the BWWPL saw a young Newton Abbott side arrive with a very organised team.
With a few excemptions We had a good squad to choose from. Goal keeper rotation was going to be a challenge but confidence was high to complete our good form.
1st Quarter
A few goals from Waite (2) and Sanders broke down a very solid Defence. With plenty of rotation every one played their part including Andrews and Pearce.3-2
2nd Quarter
With a keeper rotation every period it was hard to get full control. Chamberlain,Bainbridge and Jones got on the score sheet.6-5
3rd Quarter
Now was the time to get the upper hand. Their stong players were beginning to tire as we were getting stronger.Sanders,Pittick ,Waite, and Jones all bagged a goal.10-5
4th Quarter
The result looked good so everyone could relax and play some polo. Sanders(2) Cox, Griffiths (C) Griffiths(M) (2) and Pittick closed the game with a good flurry of goals.
This was a good result and a tougher game than we expected. They had a good defence and managed to get a lot of penalties.
Special mention for the stand in Keepers:Owen,Lloyd, Cai and Cael.
The Roughing up goalkeepers award this week goes to Nia.Well done!
9 different people scored in this game which is good teamwork.
