The WW ‘Babes’ travelled to Swansea for a mini tournament over two games. Our players were more suited to deep water Polo. The chance for some game play in this friendly was a good opportunity to prove we are the top club in Wales.
The first game saw a big tussle to control the game. Everyone worked hard in defence and attack. Some tactical rotation by Dan and Russ meant: Joe, Isaac, Rosie, and Libero pushed the Swansea attack back. The game finished 9-3 in our favour. There were outstanding performances from Chad, Luca and Stan in goal.
The second game was a bit tougher. Emma, Brianna, and Charlotte all played a part in a good win over a side that outnumbered us. Stan was defending everything between the sticks again while Dan (e) held it all together. Final Score 6-3.
This was a really good start for some young players starting on a long water polo career. It also shows the depth and ability of the Wanderers squad.
