Championship 2 Play offs

It was a fantastic thrillfest this weekend at NISV as the girls had 3 games in the first round of the National League battle for promotion.
First up were Penguin who gave us a tough ride but Rohan's tactics were spot on forcing them to shoot from distance giving Anna a chance to shine. A good win 7-4.
Next were the wily old English Roses who had a lot of experience but not our energy. Nia was on fire as usual with some great goals. It was good to see Faye, Rosie and Lowrie on the score sheet. Another win 7-4.
The next game was against a young Rotherham side and it was a real hummdinger.
We carried on our usual tactic of dropping off for 2 quarters with the same result and we were in front. Then for some reason we lost momentum and let them get ahead by 4 goals in the last quarter.
This was a huge mountain to climb but these girls showed great character to fight back to 8-9 with 30 seconds on the clock and they had a corner. Their coach was screaming 'just keep possession' and what did they do? They lost possession and the ball ended up on the line for Nia to push the ball (and the keeper) in to the goal to level the game and push us to the top of championship 2.
Well done to everyone for some hard earned success.
Thanks to the parents for making a lot of noise and some interesting headgear.
Next up away in Walsall.
