It was a jam packed weekend of rugby for Welwyn RFC, silverware was won and the First XV secured a final spot against Stevenage RFC in the Herts President's Tankard Cup.
Here's a rundown of the key successes of the weekend:
1st XV - won their semi-final vs Hitchin RFC 53-32 to secure a final spot at Allianz Park on Sunday 30th April - 1:30pm K.O. Supporters Coach details to be announced.
4th XV Beat Biggleswade to win the Herts Middlesex Merit Table 7 Cup.
U17's beat Harpenden U18s 43-10 in the Herts County U18 Plate
Welwyn-Vees U14s Won 31-10 in their County Plate Final
Our U7 & U8's put in a strong performance at their county Tag
U13 Girls Beat Stevenage 13-0
U15's Girls finished 3rd out of 18 in their St Georges Festival
A successful St Georges Day Dinner to thank Welwyn RFC Volunteers was extremely well attended
And finally, Dan Atkinson, fresh off his Semi Final yellow card attended the L'Oreal Colour Awards as a model for Johnson Blythe Hairdressing of Hertford.
It has been a long well fought season for all clubs at Welwyn RFC and I'd like you to join me in thanking everyone for their support and congratulating all teams, members, volunteers and supporters for a fantastic year of rugby.
