Another afternoon to forget for Manager Richie Holmes as the team were down to bare bones again, as many players were unavailable for a variety of reasons. We welcomed back Tomi Jaeyiola who has joined us on a dual signing from Harrowby FC.
It was an uphill struggle from the start for Bridgford against a competent but hardly spectacular Borrowash. Borrowash scored with a header, from a corner, and the Bridgford heads dropped once again. Another cross into the box saw the Borrowash second goal again from a header. Clark in goal made a couple of good saves, but Bridgford were well worth the 2 goal deficit as the half time whistle blew.
The second half was much the same as the first, with Borrowash scoring a third as Higgins walked through the defence on 65 minutes. Will Heath tried to rally the team but it was to no avail and then The Managers son scored the teams fourth goal with minutes to go, giving Borrowash a comfortable win
