Radford 3 v West Bridgford 0
Another Crucial injury Time Goal Conceded
It was a slow start to the game and it took 10 minutes for the first chance for either side, with Radford's goal machine, Ryan Smith this time blasting the ball miles over the West Bridgford goal. Radford were on top for the first 30 minutes with Sam Clark making some fine saves, Dave Erentz winning vital headers and Diaz Cameron excellently blocking a goal ward bound shot. Nonetheless, Akim Akinbinu with a wide shot, Gibraltarian international Andrew Hernandez from a free kick and Montserratian international Jaylee Hodgson with a header all gave the away side hope. By the end of the half, Bridgford were starting to create more chances. The best of these was when Andrew Hernandez ghosted into space on the right and crossed for Jack grey to thump a header onto the post. Bridgford have made a bad habit of conceding goals near the end of either half and the pattern continued when in the 45th minute Bridgford conceded to a low Smith shot into the bottom right of goal.
And so the second half began with the away side needing to come up with a plan to score some goals. However it was Radford who were now dominating play and again creating more opportunities to score. Bridgford hung on gamely until the 60th minute when Conor Moore scored from a Jacob Spence free kick. Bridgford were now under the cosh and Clark pulled of a few more saves. The final nail was knocked in when Moore got his second and Radford's third after a misplaced back pass from Jack Gray. It could have been 4 but in the 80th minute Bridgford were saved by the woodwork. Will Daly had one last chance to give the Regatta Way boys a late consolation. His cleanly hit volley had the referee ducking out the way but ended up going just over the bar.
With the last 3 games to come in the next 6 days, Bridgford hope to finish the season on a higher note.
